Changing 'Index' to read 'Work'

Hi there,

Is is possible to change the text that reads 'Index' to 'W O R K'?

I also want to have that link appear on the thumbnail page in the active state, Is this possible?

Alternatively, could I just make a new page that when clicked would link the the thumbnail page?

I have also been trying to have the titles of the projects appear under the thumbnail all the time, not only on hover.
